Community Skillshare. Our Community Skillshare is a vessel for the sharing of knowledge. Do you have a skill, craft, or particular set of knowledge you think would benefit the community? Be it a simple craft that brings joy, a class on administering first aid, a talk on how to navigate complicated litigation, or the basics of hands on gardening and germination, knowledge is power and power should belong to the people! Our skillshares are free to attend.

Craftivism. Crafting hope amongst the chaos. Bring a project, start a new one, or just bring yourself. This is a space to talk, collaborate, and express your creativity in whatever form it takes! Craftivism is free to attend.

Book Club. From ya sci-fi fantasy, and steamy romances to queer radical theory, and movement leader biographies our book club has it all. Read, reflect, and grow with us!

Name Change Support. Obtaining a legal name change can be confusing and complicated. Tranzmission is here to support you through it! We have name change packets in our office that include a checklist and all the forms needed to complete the process, as well as an easy to follow slideshow that breaks everything down step by step. We welcome any requests for support you may have for filling out forms, finding the places you need to go, and anything else that might make the process easier for you.

transwim. A trans-centered swim day hosted in partnership with the Asheville JCC. Wear whatever swim attire you're comfortable in (bottoms required). Feel free to bring snacks! (No glass or meat) Family friendly, all kiddos welcome!

*Trans Centered means cis folks can join us but must be accompanied by a trans person. This is how we ensure the space isn't cis-dominant and remains accessible to trans* folk.

Saunter. "a stupid little walk for our stupid mental health." come touch some grass with us. We choose accessible hikes and go in groups so trans+ folks feel safer to experience nature and get out doors

Community Care Day. A day where we come together as a community to help a chosen community member with a project, like cleaning up their yard, starting a garden, patching a fence, and other tasks that are tedious or inaccessible for folks to do alone.

Trans Table Tops. A time for our community to gather and play board games together! You’re welcome to bring your own board game, start a D&D campaign, and play cards. This group is open to anyone who is nonbinary, transgender, gender fluid, or questioning their gender identity. We meet on the second Monday of every month at 5-6:30.

Holiday After Care Potluck. An annual post-thanksgiving event to recuperate from stressful family dynamics, colonizer ideology, loneliness, and grief. We gather to feed each other, play games, and return to trans joy. This group is open to anyone who is nonbinary, transgender, gender fluid, or questioning their gender identity. Respectful friends, family, and children are welcome.
