Trainings

In a time in which safety for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) people is continuously threatened, it is essential that basic gender inclusivity is learned, integrated and practiced. Tranzmission has developed training programs for medical practitioners, businesses, non-profits, and schools. These training programs provide essential information using various learning styles to prepare individuals and groups to provide safe, inclusive, and accessible spaces for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) people.

All trainings include interactive components, didactic learning, and opportunities to apply lessons in settings outside of the learning space. These trainings are informed by research-based scientific evidence and created by a Tranzmission team member that holds their doctorate in occupational therapy.

Our trainings are split up into two main categories:

1. Non-medical Environments: (ie. schools, colleges, universities, businesses, nonprofits, etc.)
2. Medical Environments (ie. hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, medical programs/universities)

Each of these programs has introductory or basic training as well as advanced training programs.

We take into consideration the type of organization/business that we are serving when offering rates, including consideration of their funding and the populations they serve. Our current fixed pricing system reflects the lived experience, education, and emotional labor that goes into offering these types of training programs. We do offer sliding scales when applicable.
